Justin Timberlake is ready to make sweet, sweet music for fiancee Jessica Biel — on the big screen. The former *NSYNC standout has been tapped to compose and and serve as the music supervisor for the soundtrack to Biel’s newest project, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. It will be the first time Timberlake — who has been focusing on his acting career — has released new music since his 2009 collaboration with Timbaland. Set to begin production this fall, the film centers around a grieving widower (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who recently lost his wife (Biel) in a car crash. Fifteen-year-old Kick-Ass star Chloe Grace Moretz costars as a young girl whom Morgan’s Henry helps to build a raft to sail across the Atlantic Ocean. Biel, 30, will also produce the project with her Iron Ocean Films partner Michelle Purple. Also on Biel’s 2012 to-do list: Tie the knot with beau of five years Timberlake, 31. Earlier this month, the couple — who got engaged in December 2011 during a romantic mountaintop proposal in Wyoming — were in full-tilt wedding planning mode, trying on wedding bands at a New York City jewelry boutique. Though they didn’t nab their marital accessories at the boutique, Biel has come close to deciding on her all-important wedding gown. “Monique Lhuillier has sent over some sketches,” a Biel pal tells Us Weekly. “She’s Jessica’s first choice.” Mulling wedding locales in California and Italy, Biel and Timberlake’s “I dos” will be a lavish affair by all accounts. “It will be a big wedding,” a source tells Us. “They have lots of people they want to invite.” May. 18th, 2012

Justin Timberlake hasn’t always been the stylish man he is today — and he’s the first to admit it. “There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in,” the singer tells Details in reference to his *NSYNC days. “And in trying to conform — we’re marionettes! — I ended up looking like a moron.” Although the Friends With Benefits star favored a curly blond mop during that TRL era, currently, his favorite hairstyle is the total opposite: “A shaved head,” he says. “It’s scary the first time you do it, because you don’t know what’s under there — you could have some weird knot — but a shaved head is just so easy.” Not so easy? Timberlake’s tooth care routine. “I broke out my Sonicare two years ago, and my dentist is way more complimentary now,” he says. “And some Crest Glide floss, with the Scope mint. You gotta clean your gums, man. Talking about it makes me want to floss right now.” His facial hair upkeep is a bit less involved, however. “The one trick that works for me is to keep the mustache above the lip trimmed neater,” he explains, “so I really don’t have to worry about the rest of it. That changes everything.” May. 4th, 2012
The untimely death of Beastie Boy Adam Yauch at age 47 has drawn sympathy and sad reactions from many in the music community. Among them: Justin Timberlake, who remembered the rapper, filmmaker and father as a “true pioneer of art.” “Crushed to hear the news of Adam Yauch’s passing,” Timberlake Tweeted. “My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.#RIPMCA.” Feb. 19th, 2012

Jessica Biel may have said only last year, “I was never one of those girls who dreamt of my wedding and my Prince Charming,” but it looks like she’s about to have both. Biel and Justin Timberlake are engaged to be married, a source tells PEOPLE. The big moment happened while the on-again couple were in Big Sky Country, on their annual vacation to Montana, according to the source, who reveals Justin proposed with a “custom-designed” ring. Timberlake, who turns 31 later this month, and Biel, 29, celebrated the happy news with friends. Only a few weeks ago, unconfirmed reports said the longtime romantic couple were altar-bound, but the rumors proved premature. Last year, the couple spent time apart for several months after being together for four years, since May. They made their split official in March 2011. Still, over that summer, Timberlake told Vanity Fair about Biel, saying, “She is the single-handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person, okay? … I don’t want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me – for instance, her.” By the following September, the two were back on and publicly affectionate together again. When they were spotted having brunch last fall in a Colorado mountaintop bar, an onlooker told PEOPLE, “There was plenty of P.D.A., and they seemed happy.” Other sightings soon followed in Las Vegas, in New York and in Hollywood. The Rocket Man has spoken. Elton John says he has the perfect person in mind to play him in an upcoming movie about his life, which his husband David Furnish recently called “very extraordinary and unique.” “No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of ‘Rocket Man’ and was superb,” John, 64, tells the Los Angeles Times. There has been speculation about who might play John in the biopic – titled Rocketman – with Scottish actor James McAvoy recently rumored to be the frontrunner. John and Timberlake do have a connection, and were spotted hanging out in New York together in October. But the final decision won’t be revealed quiet yet. “We’re making an announcement about that very, very soon,” John says. “We have a director on board, and then it’s just going to be a matter of getting the script exactly the way we want it.” |
