It’s official! After five years of dating, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are husband and wife. “It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends,” the couple told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement Friday. Timberlake, 31, and Biel, 30, kept mum about the nuptials – they were even vague to guests, keeping the location in southern Italy a complete secret until the last minute – but PEOPLE will have all the details of the wedding, including exclusive photos, in next week’s issue out Wednesday. Engaged since December, when Timberlake proposed in Big Sky Montana with a custom-designed ring, the couple have been inseparable. Most recently, Timberlake showed support for his leading lady earlier this month when she was honored at Variety’s Power of Women event for her work with Charity: Water. The actor-musician said recently of his bride, “She’s a really, really, really special person.” The happy couple started celebrating earlier this week along with close friends and family. On Thursday, they hosted a party where guests hung out around open fires and dined on fresh-made cheese, local olives and wine. Justin Timberlake isn’t one to go on and on about his love life, but the singer made an exception while promoting his new movie, Trouble With the Curve. During a recent press conference with the Hollywood Foreign Press, Timberlake, 31, spoke candidly about his fiancee and love of five years, Jessica Biel, 30. “She’s a really, really, really special person,” the Tennessee native told reporters. “Plus, she’s really, really, hot!” According to Timberlake, Biel — who once dated Captain America: First Avenger star Chris Evans, 31 — was reluctant to begin dating him in 2007. “There was nothing starry about the way we got together. It was very un-Hollywood-esque, in fact,” recalled Timberlake, who split with Cameron Diaz, 40, in late 2006. “We met and got talking. Afterwards I asked my friend if I could call her and ask her out. My friend called Jessica and Jessica said yes, and so I called her.” “I did it the old fashioned way — by telephone,” Timberlake continued at the press conference. “That’s something I learned from both my stepdad and my grandfather — that there is a thing called chivalry and it doesn’t have to die with the birth of the internet. The way I see it, if you’re asking a girl out on a date, it’s only right to do it in a way that she can hear your voice. I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if I want something I stick to it. And in the end she agreed.” Timberlake popped the question in Jackson, Wyoming, in December 2011. “I answer to a higher power now,” he joked. “We have a couple of rules in our relationship. The first rule is that I make her feel like she’s getting everything. The second rule is that I actually do let her have her way in everything. And, so far, it’s working.” Though the former ‘N Sync singer wouldn’t go into details about his own wedding, he did share his thoughts about what he believes is required to sustain and happy marriage. “I think it’s important to remember that you go into something like marriage knowing that you don’t know very much about it at all. But I do look at the marriage of my mother and stepdad, and what makes it work for them is that it’s a team effort.” “Some days are better than other days for all of us — and if we have our good days and bad days individually, and then we’re dealing with someone else’s good and bad days on top of that, it’s going to add up,” Timberlake said. “My mother is a ball of fire in the world and I love that about her. With his bachelor days winding down, Justin Timberlake celebrated with the ultimate send-off to his single years: a globetrotting party marathon in Sin City and Cabo. The soon-to-be groom, 31, who is engaged to Jessica Biel, is due back in the States Sunday after his extra-long (border-crossing) weekend with a posse of 25 pals. A dressed-down Timberlake and his company, which included longtime pal Trace Ayala, arrived at the Mexican bachelor destination Friday. After keeping it low-key with a planned game of golf Saturday, Timberlake’s crew, who stayed seaside at the El Dorado Golf & Beach Club, were due to go out one last time that night before heading home. What Happens In Vegas… Following dinner, the group headed to Surrender Nightclub, where “JT was all smiles, though he stayed hidden” in a private outdoor cabana, a source tells PEOPLE. Sipping 901 Tequila throughout the night, the Trouble with the Curve actor stayed tame (and clothed) as several of his buddies stripped down to their swim attire and jumped into the adjacent private pool overlooking the 60,000-sq. ft. nightclub. “It was definitely JT’s bachelor party,” adds a source, who says multiple members of the group were overheard referencing the party as the reason they were in Las Vegas. (However, another source tells PEOPLE the party was actually for Ayala.) Though not a part of Timberlake’s party, producer-rapper Timbaland was also at the club and went over to his old friend (and recurrent music collaborator) to send his wishes. Later, the group made a late-night stop at Wynn Las Vegas’s Tryst Nightclub. Although the couple has not revealed a date for their big day, as of July, Biel, 30, insisted she wasn’t in wedding-planning mode. “I’m just enjoying being engaged,” said Biel, whose plans to wed Timberlake made headlines in January. “You’re in this romantic, ahhhhh, breathless moment that I’m just trying to extend as long as possible.” Sep. 21st, 2012

Six years after the release of his sophomore studio album, “FutureSex/LoveSounds,” Justin Timberlake is reportedly back in the studio. According to Digital Spy, J.T. is working with Timbaland for “Shock Value 3″ and allegedly his own “project.” “It’s still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks,” producer Jim Beanz stated in an interview with the UK site. “While I’ve been over here in the UK they’ve been working, so by the time I get back they’ll have a whole load of ideas and I’m going to have to catch up!” Beanz, who’s produced tracks for the likes of Britney Spears and Katy Perry, is reportedly scheduled to join the duo once he returns to the United States. When asked if the singer is concerned with topping “FutureSex/LoveSounds,” he revealed it is of no concern. “There are certain artists who live in the moment and the reason why ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ was so amazing is because he didn’t try to top Justified,” Beanz said. “Everything is so similar that it’s about topping that and doing something different, and that’s what they are going for. He’s going to kill it.” Upon its release in 2006, “FutureSex/LoveSounds” peaked at No.1 on both the Billboard 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. There might be more than one union worth celebrating come Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s wedding day. Although it’s been more than a decade since the boy band has been active, the occasion could be extra special for ‘N Sync, the ’90s pop sensation that launched Timberlake’s career. “It would be great. Who knows?” former band mate and friend Lance Bass, 33, tells Entertainment Tonight Canada of the potential reunion. “You never know. We might do a little improv a capella [at the wedding].” Wedding entertainment ideas aside, Bass says he has no details about the “hush-hush” wedding, rumored to be this summer. “I’m sure when the wedding comes about, no one is going to know until five seconds before,” he says. Would that be enough time to plan a toast, if Timberlake calls on him for the couple’s big day? “I’ll probably cry,” says Bass, who helped the couple celebrate their engagement at a Los Angeles cocktail party last week. “That’s what I do at these things. Justin Timberlake is ready to make sweet, sweet music for fiancee Jessica Biel — on the big screen. The former *NSYNC standout has been tapped to compose and and serve as the music supervisor for the soundtrack to Biel’s newest project, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. It will be the first time Timberlake — who has been focusing on his acting career — has released new music since his 2009 collaboration with Timbaland. Set to begin production this fall, the film centers around a grieving widower (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who recently lost his wife (Biel) in a car crash. Fifteen-year-old Kick-Ass star Chloe Grace Moretz costars as a young girl whom Morgan’s Henry helps to build a raft to sail across the Atlantic Ocean. Biel, 30, will also produce the project with her Iron Ocean Films partner Michelle Purple. Also on Biel’s 2012 to-do list: Tie the knot with beau of five years Timberlake, 31. Earlier this month, the couple — who got engaged in December 2011 during a romantic mountaintop proposal in Wyoming — were in full-tilt wedding planning mode, trying on wedding bands at a New York City jewelry boutique. Though they didn’t nab their marital accessories at the boutique, Biel has come close to deciding on her all-important wedding gown. “Monique Lhuillier has sent over some sketches,” a Biel pal tells Us Weekly. “She’s Jessica’s first choice.” Mulling wedding locales in California and Italy, Biel and Timberlake’s “I dos” will be a lavish affair by all accounts. “It will be a big wedding,” a source tells Us. “They have lots of people they want to invite.” |
